Ticking financial clock
Tire tracks in the snow outside the house.
The clock is ticking, and I need to find answers, soon. The job is waiting for me in Canada, it is up to their government to make a decision. And in the meantime, I'm faced with the very real possibility that I'll need to take a job -- any job -- in order to keep my bills as current as they can be. Not to mention Christmas is in a few weeks.
T
he financial situation may approach critical levels -- soon.

In speaking with a representative of the Canadian government today, I was told that the clock essentially restarted on November 16th. My 6 to 8 week wait began again, right then.

This is not the news I wanted to hear, particularly since my wonderful unemployment benefits will cease to exist in two more weeks. That means a future without any money, whatsoever. The legalities of me working from home and being paid by contract are being explored, but that possibility remains to be seen. I'm concerned, obviously.
