t snowed a bit last night, enough to cover up this and that out here in the sticks. The grass still pokes through but not by much. It's the first genuine snow day we've had this year.
I suited up in snowpants and gloves and embarked on a mission of outdoor work today. I cleaned up some of the porch and threw some old pumpkins out into the fields, where they will wait until spring to thaw and create some sort of gnarly pumpkin patch mess.
I finished putting up the lights, and decorated the little maple tree in the front yard with red and white lights. I also set up the two wire-frame reindeer that light up and appear to serenely, perpetually eat the snow.
The house looks nice. Nice and professional, and I like that.
