ell, I'm going to be working at the Spokesman-Review for a good while longer. Today I was hired permanently to work out in the Valley Bureau covering Liberty Lake and doing General Assignment work. It's a start, and it's great.
Especially great, also, are the medical benefits which kick in January 1. And the raise. And the security of having a job at long, long last that I can keep.
There was once a great and resolute determination to get to Seattle as quickly as I could. That has passed, recently, as I am fairly content with living in this area. A summer at the lake, and nearby friends and loved ones has made all the difference in slowing me down and helping me realize that I don't need to run off anywhere big quite yet. I'm doing quite well here.
